megousta keeps what you put in it, to show it to you and to the people you choose. No advertising, no selling of data. Laurent Amoravain answers for this data.
What megousta keeps
Your account: the identifier “Sign in with Apple” gives, your first name if you give it, your user name and your language. megousta keeps neither an email address nor a password.
Your Notebook: your entries (dishes, wines, tags, recipes, the link they came from), your memories (date, place, note, first names of the people who were there) and your photos.
Your Friends: your requests, your Friends, the people you blocked or reported.
Your use of Megousta AI, as a number of reads and recipes, to keep to the limits. And where megousta Plus stands: which subscription, until when.
Who sees what
Your Friends see the dishes and wines you liked, with their photo, their tags and their recipe. Never your memories: not the dates, the places, the people who were there or your notes.
Someone who searches for your user name sees that name and your first name.
When you send a memory, anyone who has the link sees it: the dish or the wine, the date, the place, the first names of the people who were there, your note and the photo.
Where it is kept, and who helps us
Your Notebook and your photos are kept at Cloudflare, in the European Union.
Megousta AI: when you have it read a photo or a link, the photo or the text of the link, with the tags of your Notebook, goes to OpenRouter, which hands it to Claude, Anthropic’s model. Both companies are in the United States. Neither your name nor your account goes with it.
megousta Plus: payment is made at Apple, megousta never sees your card. RevenueCat, which follows subscriptions for us, receives the identifier of your megousta account and the state of your subscription.
How long
As long as your account exists. “Delete my account”, on the Account screen, erases your Notebook, your photos, your Friends and your shared links at once. Apple and RevenueCat keep the history of your purchases on their side.
Your rights
You see and correct your Notebook in the app, and “Delete my account” erases everything. To erase a single entry, a single memory or a link you sent, to ask for a copy of your data or to object to a use, write to us. If our answer does not suit you, you can turn to the data protection authority of your country.
